Of course, the most popular food choice for hiking is trail mix, which is a combination of protein, dried fruits like apricots and raisins, and chocolate. This tasty combination keeps you energized throughout the duration of your hike. You can also bring protein bars to keep you from feeling light headed.

An item that is often overlooked by hikers and campers alike is the first aid kit which should serve you if you have minor medical emergencies. You never know what can happen during your hike, so it’s best to be a bit prepared. Take your usual medicines and bring bandages and alcohol in case of cuts.
