The Versatile Frame Tent

The frame tent is a basic tent that is lightweight and can be modified to various uses using different materials. Often used for camping, tents can also be used as a temporary shelter in the back yard when you are having some overnight remodeling done in your home (such as painting, since it is not a good idea to be indoors while waiting for the paint to dry unless it is water based) or for children’s activities.

The size of tents can vary, ranging from ones that are for single use only to others that can fit an entire family, and a stove. The larger tents can serve as a temporary home for long periods of time but none are meant to be used for more than a couple of weeks; though the more hardy people could, staying for that long is not advisable, it would be better off to just use a trailer or even rent a cabin if needed. There have been cases of tents being modified to suit a more permanent need, but that is a completely different topic already.

Most frame tents for sale come with a variety of extension solutions. These include parts for the inside of the tent that would affect the overall size and shape as well as the drape (usually canvas) to be used on the tent.

Aside from camping and temporary shelter, there are other uses of tents that are for less demanding reasons. One example is the use of open type tents for events such as parties and get-togethers. These tents are mostly for keeping the sun out other than anything else. Though in large parties and events, the open tents can also serve as a way to divide the party area into specific fields; these enable the guests to determine the boundaries of an event –which area is for eating, or if certain areas are restricted only to certain guests.

In cases where the need of a tent is temporary, the solution is to go for a frame tent rental. This alternative is much cheaper and more feasible that purchasing a new tent.
